Most privacy policies explain how much a company takes. This one is short because we take almost nothing — and where we could have taken something, we built the product so we couldn't. Our browser tools process your files on your own computer; those files never reach us at all.

Nothing. The processing happens locally in your browser. Your file is never transmitted, so there is no copy of it for us to store, lose, or be compelled to hand over.
We receive whatever you send: your email address, your name if you give it, and the contents of your message. We use it to answer you and to carry out work you ask us to do. Our email is hosted by a third-party provider, which necessarily processes it in order to deliver it.
To deliver paid work and meet our legal and accounting obligations, we hold the business details you give us — contact name, business name, billing address, and the scope of the engagement. Payments are handled by third-party payment providers. We do not receive or store your full card number.
Security work necessarily involves handling information about your systems, and sometimes evidence of exposed data. We hold it only as long as needed to complete the engagement and give you the report. Our standing practice is data minimisation: we collect the minimum needed to prove a finding, we never extract more than that, and we report exposed credentials rather than using them. On request we will confirm deletion in writing.
We count how many times each page is viewed, using our own code running on the server. Because our Content-Security-Policy forbids external scripts, there is nothing in your browser doing this and no cookie involved. What we store is an aggregate count per page — not a record of you. We don't assemble visitor profiles, don't follow you between visits or across other sites, and don't hand the numbers to anyone. We keep it because we'd like to know which of our free tools are actually useful, and it's the least invasive way we could find to learn that.
Our hosting provider records standard request logs (IP address, timestamp, page requested, user agent) for security and reliability. These are retained for a short operational period and are not used to build profiles or to identify you.
We process personal information to perform a contract with you (delivering work you asked for), to meet legal obligations (tax and accounting records), and for our legitimate interest in operating and securing the site. Where consent applies, you may withdraw it at any time.
Wherever you live, you can ask us to tell you what we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or send you a copy. We do not discriminate against anyone for exercising these rights. Depending on where you live you may have additional statutory rights (for example under the GDPR or the CCPA/CPRA); we will honour those requests regardless of whether they legally apply to us.
To make a request, email hello@spectralhorizon.com. We'll respond within 30 days.
We keep the list short on purpose. We use third parties for website hosting, email, and payment processing. We use no advertising networks, no data brokers, and no third-party analytics vendors — our pageview counting is our own code on our own infrastructure, which is why no outside company receives anything about your visit.
We build with AI, and we say so plainly rather than burying it. What that means for you:
Our services are sold to businesses and are not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.
If we change this policy we'll update the date above. We will not retroactively reduce the protections that applied to information we already hold.
